Consumer Protection Education and Research Centre once again was successful in helping out an instant justice to our registered consumer who was very upset with the service of MakeMyTrip. Our Hyderabad based member had cancelled his ticket on makemytrip.com through customer care and they told our registered member that he will get refund within 3-6 working days. After that they received the full refund from airline operator as confirmed by their service executive and airline both. Our registered member even dropped a mail for his concern but our registered member was not given proper answers regarding his refund request. So after 20 long days MakeMyTrip customer care mailed our registered member that the amount had been transferred to our registered member’s account but according to bank no such transaction had happened. There was no accountability and credibility for our registered member’s query. Mr Yuvaksh Thukral was very upset and after all he came to us and appealed for help to resolve his problem. CPERC has taken over this case and as it was a violation of Consumer Protection Act, 1986, we put up this case in legal way against MakeMyTrip . Within a week on behalf of MakeMyTrip Customer Care, the Haryana head of the department Anshuman Tripathi intervened in this case and credited the refund amount to our consumer’s account. Now our consumer is happy and conveyed his thanks to CPERC and MakeMyTrip too.
